Since classes through Idaho Digital Learning are strictly online, there are some basic technology requirements you need to meet.
You need a computer that meets minimum system requirements
Required:
- A laptop or desktop computer less than 6 years old (Mac or Windows machine, NOT a tablet)
- One of the following operating systems: Windows XP or higher or Mac OSX 10.5 or higher
- Functioning speakers or headphones
- A functioning microphone or headset microphone
- One of the following web browsers: Internet Explorer 7 or higher, Firefox 3 or higher, Chrome, or Safari 5 or higher
- Java, latest version
- Adobe Flash Player, latest version
- Adobe Shockwave Player, latest version
- Ability to read files of type .doc, .xls, and .ppt (these are openable by several programs, including Microsoft Office 2007 or higher, OpenOffice version 3 or higher, and Google docs)
- Ability to read .pdf files (these are openable by several programs, including Adobe Reader and Apple Preview)
- A current email account
- Internet connection
