About Professional Development

Idaho Digital Learning Professional Development is for anyone involved in the education of Idaho’s K-12 students, teachers, principals, administrators and support staff.

Online Workshops

  • Are led by a facilitator through our learning management system, Blackboard.
  • Include interactions with your facilitator and other participants through discussion boards, email, telephone, chat, live webinars, etc.
  • Have specific start and end dates. You can access the course and complete your work at your convenience, as long as your assignments are completed by their weekly due dates.

Online Tutorials

  • Do not have a facilitator and are delivered through our learning management system, Blackboard.
  • Idaho Digital Learning tutorials are entirely self-paced and include readings, interactive lessons, activities and a final product.
  • You can register after the term start date, up to 4 weeks before the end of the term, and then you will receive your access information by email within 6 business days.
  • You can work at your own pace as long as you complete your assignments by the end of the designated term.

Online Webinars

  • These are live online seminars delivered through IdahoPD's live virtual classroom called IdahoLive.
  • Facilitators and participants communicate through text chat, audio, video and other tools.
  • Webinars are usually 30-90 minutes and occur on a specifically scheduled date and time.
  • Most webinars are free.
  • Once you register, you receive an email confirmation that includes information on how to access your webinar.

University Credit
