Minimum requirements for IDLA instructors include attendance at the full IDLA summer instructor training conference annually. In order to attend the "full" 2012 Summer Conference, each teacher must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a one day face-to-face regional event, as advertised above, and,
- Attend the virtual training on best practices.
If you are unable to attend the face to face regional event closest to you, here are the options available to you for fulfilling this requirement:
- Attend another of the regional face-to-face events that better fits your schedule, or,
- Petition the Summer Conference Waiver Review Committee to be excused from attendance (this option also requires completion of “make up” work).
